Mexico, a Paradise to Palate

For no one is a secret that Mexican food conquered the world. The gastronomy heritage of the Aztec cuisine has become one of the most powerful attractions for internal and external tourism. 

There is no country in the world where there isn't a Mexican restaurant and Mexico itself is considered by excellence as one of the first culinary destinations on the planet. But why? 

Tired of questioning with those inquiries, but mostly, tired of listening to our Mexican friends complain about how awful Mexican cuisine is prepared outside the country, we embarked towards to discover for ourselves, what is about to eat Mexican food in no other place than Mexico.

We, (at this point you will be guessing who, when I talk about we). Well, my husband and I, decided to pick several destinations in Mexico, in order to taste, smell, swear, dance and eat as truly Mexicans.

Many of these destinations are recognized because they have been in charge of promoting the art of authentic traditional Mexican cuisine, including the states of Puebla or Yucatan, and other very important when visiting the country, such as Nayarit, Colima, Los Cabos, Chiapas or Mexico City.

And probably this is why, since 2010 Mexican gastronomy has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

For us, the culinary destinations were more than that fact. We learned that the cuisine of Mexico is considered by Mexicans a crucial element of national identity due to its history, creativity, diversity and international significance. 

But most important, we learned by fact that Mexican gastronomy is undoubtedly an attraction to the palate, because not only demonstrates historical continuity but also plays an important role as an element of identity for the Mexican people. Why? simple, because it relies on products originating from its land and boasts a high creativity in their chefs, who over the centuries have been perfecting their technique while maintaining the essence of traditional cuisine.

What we loved after our trip to Mexico? That Mexican food is our memorable and comfort food, and that you have to go to experience it from first hand.

Gastronomía Mexicana, la Cocina que Conquistó al Mundo

Para nadie es un secreto que la comida mexicana conquistó al mundo. El patrimonio gastronómico de la cocina azteca se ha convertido en uno de los más poderosos atractivos para el turismo interno y externo; no hay parte del mundo donde no exista un restaurante mexicano y México, es catalogado por excelencia como uno de los primeros destinos culinarios del planeta.
Muchos de esos destinos son reconocidos porque se han encargado de promover el arte de la auténtica cocina tradicional mexicana, entre ellos los estados de Oaxaca, Puebla o Yucatán. Y otros más imprescindibles a la hora de visitar el país, como Nayarit, Colima, Los Cabos, Chiapas o la misma Ciudad de México.
Es por esto que desde el año 2010, la gastronomía mexicana fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura
(UNESCO). Gracias a esto, se enalteció que la cocina de México sea considerada elemento crucial de identidad
nacional debido a su historia, creatividad, diversidad y trascendencia internacional.
La gastronomía mexicana es sin lugar a dudas, un atractivo inigualable al paladar, no solo demuestra una continuidad histórica, sino que goza de un papel importante como elemento de identidad para el pueblo mexicano, se apoya en productos originarios de su tierra y presume de una alta creatividad en sus cocineros, que a lo largo de los siglos han ido perfeccionando su técnica manteniendo la esencia de la cocina tradicional.
